Have an Exciting Adventure in Africa with Local Experts, Acacia Africa

Imagine a continent brimming with big game, thundering waterfalls, crisscrossed by winding rivers, and featuring vast wilderness areas and big, blue open skies. It’s Africa, and African travel experts, Acacia Africa, say there is nothing as fulfilling or fascinating as a journey through Africa.

Leading Africa tour experts, Acacia Africa, have launched their 2011/12 programme, which includes an exciting range of adventure holidays, overland and small group safaris, voluntours, short breaks and city tours, dive tours and Comfort Class trips.

Acacia Africa is definitely the specialist travel company for the African continent, and most of their team is African born. From the plains of the Serengeti or the iconic River Nile to the massive Victoria Falls and picturesque Cape Town, Acacia Africa has designed tours to show off their Africa to adventurous travellers.

Next year Acacia Travel is offering 19 new unique trips catering to adventurous travellers who want to explore the exciting African continent. New trips include a 30 night overland Ocean to Gorillas tour of Tanzania and Kenya from $5,225 per person; a six night Best of Botswana small group tour from $980 per person; and a one night African Lion Rehabilitation Project Voluntour from $815 per person to support this well established volunteer project.

Travel is by overland truck, which becomes a home away from home, and which can capably handle all the rugged African terrain. Trucks carry everything needed for an adventure holiday, from freezers and power points to tables and chairs. On tour the company use large two person dome tents, and mainly stay in camping grounds although they do bush camp across the Okavango Delta.

There is also a section for travellers looking for Comfort Class combined with a bit of adventure; that’s perfect for solo or family travellers.

Acacia Africa is represented in New Zealand by Adventure World and to celebrate the launch of the 2011/2012 Acacia Africa programme, Adventure World has released a fantastic deal which is available for a limited time only:

Chobe is also known for its prolific birdlife, especially the elegant fish eagle. On the last day the tour crosses into Zambia by ferry at Kazangula before driving to Livingstone to camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Just downstream are the magnificent Victoria Falls, a spectacular place to end an African Insight.
