Indonesian Embassy in London attempted attack on UK freedom of expression
It was revealed today that the Indonesian Embassy in London made a request to the British Foreign Office that they instruct Oxford Town Hall to remove the Morning Star flag from their rooftop last December 1st.
As a sign of solidarity with the West Papuan peoples struggle, the Mayor of Oxford allows the Morning Star flag to be flown from the rooftop of Oxford Town Hall on 1st December each year.
The Indonesian Embassy's attempted attack on UK freedom of expression was disclosed to West Papua campaigners during a meeting with UK Foreign Office officials in London.
The Indonesian Embassy's request was refused by UK Government officials.
