November 2010? The case is now going to court.
Two Papuans are being charged with makar (rebellion) on Tuesday this week; they are Semuel Yaru and Luther Wrait. The
two are accused of taking part in an action when they called for independence for Papua on 16 November last year.
During the action, Semuel Yaru, 52 years, and Luther Wrait, also 52, were responsible together with another man, Alex
Mebri who is now on the 'wanted' list (DPO). Semuel Yaru was the person responsible for the action as well as the
spokesman of the group. Luther Wrait was the co-ordinator and the one who called on others to take part, while Alex
Mebri was responsible for drafting the pamphlet and supplying the Morning Star flag.
