Americans Provide Perceptions Of President Prior To State Of The Union Address

Flemington, NJ, January 27, 2010 – A new media study among 2,203 Americans prior to the president’s State of the Union address revealed that Democrats rated President Obama’s likeability the highest on a seven-point scale with a 5.9, compared to Republicans (3.9) and Independents (5.0).

The study was conducted among self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents during January 26-27 by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website. Respondents were asked to indicate their “level of favorability” regarding critical issues, including the U.S. economy, health care and foreign policy. Respondents were also asked to rate the president on a scale from 1-7 regarding likeability.

A follow-up study will be conducted tonight after his address. The results will be posted within 90 minutes of the speech’s conclusion. To view detailed results of the studies go to: www.mediacurves.com.
