For immediate release
MiG Ayesa, born in the Philippines, has composed a heartfelt, inspirational song as a tribute to the victims and relief workers in the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Ondoy, and to raise much needed funds for the victims.
MiG Ayesa, singer, songwriter extraordinaire known for his role of 'Galileo Figaro' in the International Tour of WE WILL ROCK YOU and who performed in New Zealand at the NZ Health Industry Awards in October 2008 writes:
“UNITED AS ONE is meant to be a voice of hope and a call to arms for all Filipinos, and in fact, everyone to help with donations, supplies, time and love.
I hope people will listen to the beautiful lyrics and melody of this uplifting soft rock song and surely they’ll find peace, strength and hope to help the victims pick up the pieces. The world has seemed to forgotten what is still such a painful and drastic situation. I hope this song will inspire people to act and give hope.
The death toll runs into the hundreds and millions of people are displaced and homeless and the destruction and devastation is unquestionable. The rebuilding of the nation will take years and untold amounts of funds. What worries me now that it is no longer front page news, people will forget that real help is needed right now.
Check out the song and video and I hope it gives hope and help where it is needed most.”
