French Ambassador to Solomon Islands His Excellency Ambassador Patrick Boursin who is based in Port Moresby has expressed his condolences to the Flood Victims of Northwest Guadalcanal during his communication with Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, William Haomae yesterday.

Ambassador Boursin has also given clearance for the use of French Patrol Boat, ‘The Gloriuse’ to mobilize and deploy humanitarian relief supplies.

Ambassador Boursin said that “[He] is sorry for the situation affecting the population in Guadalcanal and generously confirmed that green light has been given to the Gloriuse Commander for implementing the humanitarian operation.

Meanwhile, Minister Haomae thanks the French Government for the positive response to the Government’s request for the use of its patrol boat for humanitarian operations saying this is yet another manifestation of the positive, close and friendly bilateral relationship between the two countries.
