Flamboyant Andre Rieu Performs In Sydney

Acclaimed violinist Andre Rieu is preparing for his first ever concert in Australia as part of his world stage tour – and he’ll be bringing a slice of Vienna to Sydney when he performs at ANZ Stadium on 27, 28 and 29 November.

The flamboyant violinist will stage a spectacular show complete with an enchanting Viennese palace, lavishly costumed dancers and ice skaters, regal horses and a full orchestra and tenor group.

Recognised as the biggest stage production to ever tour the world, Regional Director for Tourism New South Wales Kate Strange says the musical extravaganza will be quite unlike anything previously seen in Australia or New Zealand.

“Andre Rieu is a supreme musician but this performance is about much more than music alone,” she says.

“The stunning staging of Viennese ice skaters and ballet dancers, traditional Viennese horse-drawn carriages with horses and footmen and fabulous costumes, all against the breathtaking backdrop of a Viennese palace ballroom, complete with real golden chandeliers, promises a world class stage spectacular in the heart of Sydney.”

Special packages are available for the performance on Friday 28 November through leading sport and entertainment travel specialist, Keith Prowse.

Packages start from $871 per person twin share and include two nights accommodation at Sydney’s stylish Grace Hotel, entry to a pre concert cocktail party at the Shangri La Hotel inclusive of refreshments and canapés, return concert transfers and concert tickets.
