Gordon Brown Joins Outreach Working Session At G8

Outreach meeting
Monday 3:29 pm (Local Time) - Following a working lunch the Prime Minister has joined a meeting of the G8 leaders and mainly Afircan leaders in an Outreach Working Session.
The agenda for the meeting centres on global challenges and meeting the Millennium Development Goals.
As well as contributions from national leaders there is an open discussion session where leaders often receive a word in their ear from their Sherpa (a special adviser who is an expert on the matters at hand and who sits directly behind their national leader).
The countires represented at the meeting comprise:
G8 (Japan, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, the USA and the UK)
Algeria
Ethiopia
Ghana
Nigeria
Senegal
South Africa
Tanzania
African Union
United Nations
World Bank
