Vanua Levu Roads To Be Fixed Soon - PM
The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has today urged the Public Works Department to speed up the repair and maintenances of roads in Vanua Levu.
This follows Prime Minister Bainimarama's meetings with the Minister for Transport, Tevita Lesi Natuva and Commission Northern Colonel Inia Seruiratu.
PM Bainimarama said the Interim Government is committed to improving the standards of roads in the rural areas as part of its efforts to speed up developments in rural areas.
PM Bainimarama has requested the people in Vanua Levu to bare with the Government because the weather has not been favorable to them.
He has assured that funds for the maintenances and rehabilitation of the roads affected by Cyclone Gene has been provided and works are now already underway.
