Putin Congratulates Emperor Akihito On Birthday

President Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Emperor Akihito of Japan on His Majesty's birthday
"Russian-Japanese relations today are distinguished by active political dialogue at every level, record growth in trade and economic ties and consistent work together to strengthen practical cooperation", Mr Putin's message reads.
"Our countries' cooperation on resolving current international issues makes an important contribution to reinforcing stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region and in the world in general.
I am sure that if we continue to build on the positive dynamic in our bilateral relations we will be able to make progress in establishing a genuine partnership".
