Putin Condolences To Algeria Over Terror Attacks


Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika in connection with the terror attacks that claimed many victims.

The telegram reads: "I was sorry to hear about the terror attacks that were carried out in Algeria's capital on 11 December 2008, attacks which killed dozens of peaceful Algerian citizens. Please convey my condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and my wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

As we strongly condemn this heinous crime, I wish to assure you of our solidarity and support.

I would like to confirm Russia's determination to expand cooperation with friendly Algeria in the fight against new challenges and threats, extremism and terrorism, and on issues such as sustainable development, and stability and security for the peoples of the region and the world."
