Boxing: Mayweather Stops Hatton in WBC Title Bout
American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Junior retained his World Boxing Council welterweight title Saturday by stopping Britain's Ricky Hatton in a much-anticipated bout between between undefeated boxers in Las Vegas.
Mayweather knocked tough English boxer Hatton down twice in the 10th round before the referee stopped the fight.
Mayweather improved his record 39 wins and no losses, while Hatton suffered his first defeat in 44 bouts.
