Inaugural International Conference on Individual Protection in Melbourne
Australia's Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) together with the US Army Research, Development and
Engineering Command are co-hosting the Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) International Conference - IPE 2007.
The Conference is the first of its kind to be held in Australia. It is uniquely placed to put an Asia-Pacific
perspective on the issues faced by professionals and practitioners dealing with protection against chemical, biological,
radiological and nuclear threats.

IPE2007 is an international forum for the discussion of current and future IPE issues that face both defence personnel
and first responders.
Areas of interest range from basic science research into new and novel materials, to test and evaluation of protective
ensembles, heat stress mitigation strategies and IPE modelling and integration.
