Maserati launches the new GranTurismo configurator
More than 4,000,000 combinations are now just a mouse click away.
With more than four million possible trim and colour combinations, Maserati's stunning new GranTurismo requires rather more than a simple flick through a catalogue and that's why the legendary Italian car maker has put its new GranTurismo configurator on the internet four months ahead of its launch in Australia and New Zealand.
The new Maserati GranTurismo configurator even allows customers to produce their own personalised brochure that only contains pictures the ‘their’ car.
"The wraps will come off the GranTurismo at the Australian International Motor Show but thanks to the internet, there's no need to wait until October to personalise a GranTurismo and see what it looks like," explains Edward Butler, General Manager of Maserati in Australia and New Zealand. "No model in Maserati's history has had so much interest in advance of its launch. The Maserati configurator allows our customers to start planning their car and using the - literally - millions of possible trim and equipment combinations to produce a car that can be truly unique and a complete reflection of each owner's personality."
Maserati has always been a leader in the conception of cutting-edge, innovative tools that help purchasers to construct a car in tune with their taste and lifestyle. Accordingly, the Maserati planned and developed the GranTurismo configurator with the aim of setting a new benchmark in this type of software.
Users are able to dip into a complete range of external colours and internal finishes through a highly intuitive interface. A simple point-and-click system conceals the site’s complex, advanced structure while also providing superb quality images.
Users spoilt for choice will appreciate the configurator’s ‘comparative’ mode. This feature allows comparisons between different configurations to be made after having clicked on the ‘snapshot’ tab.
It is possible take a detailed look at the configuration by making use of the eight exterior and four interior viewpoints on offer. In addition, a new element gives the user the chance to see the car in a real setting, one that displays the instrument panel by night and the other that ‘x-rays’ the GranTurismo to reveal the technical details that lie beneath its muscular bodywork.
The ‘My Virtual Brochure’feature allows users to flick through a personalised GranTurismo booklet that includes images of their newly configured car. As ever with Maserati configurators, there is the chance to hear the sound of the V8 engine as well as the opportunity to send your configuration to friends or to your preferred Maserati dealership.
