Nominates Subcommittee Chairs
January 18, 2007 (WASHINGTON) - Today, the following subcommittee chairmen for the six subcommittees of the Committee on Homeland Security have been nominated by the Committee's Democratic Caucus for the 110th Congress. Pursuant to Rule 28(B) of the House Democratic Caucus, the selection of Chairman for the Committee is subject to approval by both the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee and the full House Democratic Caucus.
Once the subcommittee chairmen are formally approved by the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee and the House Democratic Caucus, the list of subcommittee chairmen and subcommittee members will be offered as a resolution when the Committee on Homeland Security holds its organizational meeting for the 110th Congress.
