The Democratic Strategist Releases Post-Election Issue
Today, The Democratic Strategist-- the new and innovative political strategy magazine edited by William Galston, Stan
Greenberg, and Ruy Teixeira--released its post-election issue ( www.thedemocraticstrategist.org). The issue examines how national security, the economy, and immigration affected the historic election that gave
Democrats gains across the board. It also assesses the get-out-the-vote efforts of the Party and the lessons learned
from polling in swing districts.
In addition to essays by the three editors, the issue features pieces by Ari Berman of The Nation, Jim Kessler of Third
Way, Celinda Lake & Daniel Gotoff of Lake Research Partners, Thomas Riehle of RT Strategies, and Jeremy Rosner of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner
Research.
The online magazine's post-election issue also continues a roundtable discussion of Thomas Schaller's Whistling Past
Dixie, in which Schaller, The American Prospect's Ezra Klein, Media Matters' Paul Waldman, and Democratic Strategist
managing editor Scott Winship debate the merits of Schaller's "ignore the South" strategy.
We hope you enjoy the issue.
