This is what Kobra wants the world to know. She has written a letter from prison. Kobra Rahmanpour is a 22 year old woman who has been sentenced to death by the Islamic regime of Iran. She had spent the past three years in prison and been convicted of murdering her mother in law by a kitchen knife. On the first of January 2005 she was woken up early in the morning to be told that she was going to be hanged that day. Kobra was to be hanged on April 15, 2005 but the international pressure delayed her execution.

In July 2005 following the refusal of 4 of the relatives of the mother in law to pardon her, the court issued her death sentence by hanging. According to Islamic law of "an eye for an eye" if the relatives of the deceased pardon the accused, then he/she could be freed. Kobra now faces death by hanging. Her execution must be stopped.

Kobra herself is a victim of poverty and injustice. She was born and raised in a family that could not even provide the mere necessities of life for its members. Her father is elderly and one of her brothers is disabled and there is no welfare system to look after such people who are in need. Kobra had to give up her ambitions of going to university, and in order to help her family survive, married a man 40 years her senior. But her life did not get better; in fact it was made hell by repeated maltreatment and abuse se received from her husband and his family.

On one occasion he was even arrested and imprisoned for physically and sexually abusing her. In the last incident according to Kobra, she was attacked by her mother in law with a kitchen knife in her hand. Kobra claims that she killed her mother in law in a self defense act.

"I want to live!

I am a human being just like you. I do not want to die. However I am now a sol less body who in fear of the execution rope has forgotten how to laugh and be happy. A lot of people say to me how come your case has been so much publicized but you are still in prison? I have to tell them that I am only steps away from execution. I too like all of you am afraid of dying. Please help me so that this would not be my last letter.

People, friends!

My mother, father and handicapped brother are very worried about me. Your supports so far have been such a comfort to them. I wish my life was different. I wish I had finished my pre-university education. I wish I did not have to be a servant for my husband. I wish I had not reached insanity. I suffered a lot and was intimidated. I am a true victim. Now they are about to hang the victim. This was not and is not my destiny.

In these dark days of fear, I urge you once again to help me. I thank all mass media and all people who supported me before. Now, may be for the last time, I urge you to do everything you can to free me from execution. I like freedom. I dream about my freedom and a good life.

I have suffered enough. Help me to get rid of the nightmare of execution which wakes me up all the time. Do what you can. There is not much time left. Every minute takes me nearer to the rope. Please help me! I am afraid of the rope and death. I hate the rope that is waiting for me on the crane. I want to live. All other doors are closed to me. Nobody helps me. My only hope is the people. I want to hold my mother and father in my arms.

To all noble humans, and all human right defender bodies

I, Abolfazl Rahmanpour, the father of Kobra Rahmanpour pledge you to protest to the unfair sentence of my young daughter.

Kobra, my young daughter, was forced to marry a man, 43 years older than herself. Kobra was a good student in her school and her wish was to study in the university but she was forced to forget all of her wishes because of the extreme poverty of the family.

Kobra had a hard life before marriage and after marriage her life became even worse. the extremeness of problems and sufferings that she had to take in a family that looked at her first a servant and then a daughter-in-law, was so much that made a kind girl like her to commit a murder in an accident and while defending herself.

Kobra spent the best years of her youth in the prison and with the threat of death. She has suffered so much and has completely fall. It is so many years that she can feel the execution rope on her neck and her life goes on with sensing death, she shouldn't suffer more tortures. When I look at her colorless eyes, fallen teeth, and senseless body I always ask myself what did I do wrong? What shouldn't I have done? Whose fault is this?

As she has said herself she wants to live and she is scared from the execution, the rope and the crane. She wants to go to university and study. Kobra is a very kind girl, her inmates can testify that. She should be free as soon as possible to go back to her normal life.

Our only hope is the protest of you noble people to this unjust sentence. The only way of preventing this sentence is the protest of all of the people, human rights defending bodies, committees against the executions and international bodies. Just for a second thought what me and Kobra's mother are going true to realize how horrible are this days. I wouldn't mind to be executed instead of Kobra, is that possible? I have always worked from day to night, but I don't know why our destiny went this way? I and Kobra's mother have no hope to life or another thing beside Kobra. Help us. Save my Family, my disabled son who always asks about her sister, Kobra, from this horror of execution of our dear Kobra. We are waiting for your definite actions. We all ask you to sign this letter. The Iranian authorities are not fit to prosecute someone like Kobra. They themselves are the worst criminals in the world. They should be tried for the terrible hell they have created for people in Iran

Execution for whatever reason is an inhuman act and the Iranian government has got a record in this filed.

Mother of four saved from stoning in Iran!

International pressure does make a difference!

Ashraf Kolhari, a mother of four children between the ages of nine and nineteen, was due to be execution by stoning for adultery. She has been held in Tehran 's Evin prison for five years and serving ten years in prison before being executed.

Following an intense international campaign Ashraf was saved from stoning. An online petition prepared by her lawyer Ms Shadi Sadr which was sent to many organisations by Committee against Stoning and Organisation for Women's Liberation was signed by many people. The intense campaign forced the courts in Iran to revert their decision on 11th September 2006.

In July 2006, she received the order for the implementation of her sentence, and was due to be executed by stoning by the end of July. She has escaped execution but is still in prison.

Asraf, like many women in Iran ruled by Islamic law has been condemned to death by stoning for having extra marital relation after her divorce request was rejected by the court on the basis that she had children. She was ordered to continue to live with her husband whom she did not love.

Resolution against Gender aprthied in Iran

Gender apartheid and segregation of people according to their gender is one of the ugliest faces of anti women acts and discrimination between people in some societies, in particular Islamic Republic of Iran.

Gender apartheid is a system by which governments and especially political Islam currents impose suppression on people. Sexual apartheid, the same as racial apartheid, is despicable and must be destroyed in the same way.

Remarks by Pope Benedict XVI in a speech in Germany have provoked outrage in the Islamic community. Two sides of the coin fighting for supremacy!

In his latest visit to Germany, Pope Benedict XVI delivered a speech at the University of Regensburg, entitled Faith, Reason and University: Memories and Reflections. In his speech he referred to the erudite Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus as saying "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

What the Pope has said is just a minute dark reality of the dirty and anti human character of Islam and industry of Islam. All ranks of Islam from past to now have killed, maimed and destroyed lives and will do so in the future. Their existence is not "god's" doing but as a result of bloodshed, suicide bombings and executions. They have shed a dark cloud over the societies they rule, not through common sense or respecting peoples' intelligent. They have done so by suppression and imprisonment of people.

Islamic industry is tantamount to mafia style killings, anti women, and anti humanity, anti freedom and equality. Throughout history this industry has killed, destroyed, bombed, decapitated and stoned people more than any other force.

Pope's comments is however only one side of the coin. The other side is the reality of the industry that the Pope himself belongs to and is heading. Who doesn't know about the history of the killing machine, and burning of people by Christianity? Who doesn't know about the history of burning books by this industry and its opposition to civilization, progress and intelligence? Who doesn't know about the co-operation of this religious industry with Hitler's fascism? Who doesn't know about the co-operation of the Vatican with CIA?

They are both the same. They both, during their best days are opium of the masses. Humanity must get rid of them. They are both Mafia organizations and responsible for the biggest crimes against humanity in the history of mankind. They are now, both the biggest tools in the hands of governments in their war of power against people.

The reaction by the Islamic community is nothing but a show of force to intimidate people. We must not allow the Islamists to gain power. Their show of power must not be left unchallenged.

The Worker-communist movement is against religion and industry of religion. One condition in achieving a free society is to get rid of religious mafia and its industry. The civilized humanity must be free from the industry of crime and ignorance.
