BUSH CRITICS CAN SIGN NAMES AT NEW WEB SITE
TO GO ON RECORD AGAINST HIS POLICIES
LetHistoryKnow.com

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A new Web site where individuals critical of President Bush's policies can "register their disagreement for posterity" by signing their names and addresses in protest has been created by a New England legal scholar.

The Web site "LetHistoryKnow.com" was established September 14 by Dr. Lawrence R. Velvel, dean of the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, "to provide a permanent record of those who want history and their descendants to know that they feel strongly" about Bush's policies.

“Just as John Hancock signed the Declaration of Independence in a bold hand, Americans today can assert their opposition to both President Bush's aggressive war upon Iraq abroad and his war against our civil liberties at home," said Velvel, 67, a legal scholar and long-term opponent of U.S. military intervention abroad.

Those who go to LetHistoryKnow.com have the option of submitting their name and state of residence, or their email name and address.

After entering their E-mail addresses, individuals who choose to do so can submit a comment to express their views, Velvel said.
