Incident In Southern Iraq
We can confirm that an Australian vehicle was involved in an incident with a suspected improvised explosive device in Southern Iraq.
There are no Australian casualties and all of our people have been accounted for and are safe.
The vehicle sustained superficial damage.
Further advice will be provided when details are known.
This is a timely reminder of the dangers of operating in Southern Iraq.
