Protest planned against Tony B.Liar visiting New Zealand
MEDIA RELEASE

*Tony B.Liar visiting **New Zealand***
As the war on Iraq is entering its fourth year British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be visiting New Zealand.
However, the lies that heralded the invasion have continued with the occupation. Bush, Blair and Howard continue to bleed the word “democracy” of any meaning. The freedoms that they claim to be fighting for are being taken away, and not only in Iraq. So called anti terrorism laws have eroded civil liberties in many countries.
Tens of thousands of Iraqis have been killed at the hands of occupying forces that continue to destroy city after city in an impossible attempt to crush a growing resistance. Billions of dollars that could otherwise have been spent on schools, hospitals and housing are being used to violently deny the Iraqi people their land and the resources they need to determine their own future.
Tony Blair, with his claim that Iraq could launch an attack on Britain using chemical and biological weapons within 45 minutes, was a pre-eminent deceiver in the lead-up to the war.
Aucklanders opposed to the invasion of Iraq will be giving Tony B.Liar the reception he deserves when he meets with Helen Clark at the Auckland City Town Hall on 28 March.
The protest is supported by Global Peace and Justice Auckland (GPJA), Workers Party, Radical Youth, Unite Union, the Green Party and Auckland Animal Action.
