Nothing is
"irreversible"; while Van is alive there is hope.
Amnesty International Australia continues to call for the execution to be stopped and to be commuted to a custodial sentence. We appeal to the Australian Government and the Australian people to reiterate their opposition to the death penalty throughout our region.
The candle vigil offers hope and encouragement to all those who have supported Van.
At this gathering you will be given the opportunity to light a candle for Van, wear a yellow ribbon, show your support for Van's family and friends, join our anti-death penalty network and oppose the death penalty.
