A Horde of Israeli Settlers Attacked al Mawassi Area
GAZA, Palestine, August 16,2005 (IPC+WAFA)---As the time count down for completing the evacuation of settlements of Gaza Strip, the Jewish settlers attacked Tuesday dawn the residents' houses in Al Mawassi area, west of Khan Younis, south Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested today dawn the resident Fadi Khaddar Abed Rabo,17, from al Mawassi area , west of KhanYounis .
The locals said that the soldiers stormed surprisingly into the houses in Zu'rob area , going berserk in the area , vandalizing the houses before arresting Zurob.
Local sources said that Monday overnight hundreds of the settlers deployed in al al-Mawassi khan Younis area and rum amok and ransacked the residents' houses and belongings.
The chairman of Al Mawassi Development Society, Fayez Sha'th said that the society received numerous appeals of help from the residents as a horde of settlers, advancing the area from the illegal settlement "Neve Dekalim", they molested the residents living nearby the settlement and hurled stones at the houses.
Sha'th added that in recent weeks the attacks of the Israeli settlers in the area growingly went up and took various forms at the sight and hearing of the Israeli occupation troops, which as routinely the case kept idle.
Al Mawassi area is strictly besieged by the Israeli occupation forces since the flare up of Al Aqsa Intifada, it 8000 populations are going through endless relentless agony due to the closure and siege.
In the west bank, the former chief of the rural council of Kfar Haress, close to Salfeet, Fathi Bouzeh, was badly bruised as he was violently kicked and punched by the Israeli occupation soldiers.
Bouzeh narrated that while he was commuting from his workplace through the military checkpoint of Hewara in Nablus, one of the soldiers manning the checkpoint intentionally abused him and denied him passing the checkpoint , forcing him to campaign to the officer but in vain as the soldiers persistently kept barring him access and increasingly abused him verbally.
He added that the soldiers at the checkpoint pummeled him, breaking his left hand and causing bruises in all over the body.
Afterwards, the Israeli occupation police moved him to the illegal settlement of "Arial" and held him for more than four hours, he no longer be able to return back home, he called an advocate , who worked on setting him free on bail till the date of bringing him into court on 29 Sep.
