Attacks: 14 – in Occupied Palestine the following were some of the people and areas that came under Israeli fire:

Ramallah & El Bireh – at 10:15pm, the Israeli Army fired flares from its location in the settlement of Psagot towards the Industrial Zone in the city of El Bireh.

Northern Gaza –

The area of Al Hawouz opposite An Nada towers in the town of Beit
Lahiya.

Palestinian homes west of Al Qaraya al Badawiya, also in the town
of Beit Lahiya.

Khan Yunis –

Palestinian territory in the neighbourhood of Al Amal.

The West Khan Yunis refugee camp (three times).

Rafah –

The neighbourhood of Yabna in the Rafah refugee camp.

The neighbourhood of Yabna (again) and Bloc (J) in the Rafah
refugee camp.

Bloc (J) in the Rafah refugee camp (again) – this time the fire
was particularly intense.

Curfews: 1

Jenin – since 7:30am Saturday the Israeli Army has been imposing a curfew on the town of Silat adh Dhahr, and for the second consecutive day is preventing students from getting to their schools. The Israeli Army remains positioned in the town, as of 8:00 this morning.

Home invasions and occupation: Numerous

Tulkarem – at 8:10pm, an Israeli Army patrol raided the town of Deir al Ghusun, invaded people’s homes and took several prisoners.

Ramallah & El Bireh – Occupation forces raided Ramallah at 1:20pm and again at 10:30pm. At 1:15am the Israelis raided, yet again, set up a checkpoint and patrolled the area, searching people and vehicles.

Tulkarem – at 10:25pm, Israeli Army units raided the village of Izbat al Jarad and patrolled the area.

Nablus – at 1:15am, the Israeli Army raided and patrolled the city.

Salfit –

Israeli Occupation forces raided and terrorised the village of
Marda at 8:40pm, roaming the streets and opening fire at random.

At
10pm, the Israeli Army raided the village of Ammuriya and took one
person prisoner.

Bethlehem
– Israeli Occupation forces raided and terrorised the village of
Nahalin, roaming the streets and opening fire at random.

Hebron –

The Israeli Army raided the town of Dura at
9pm and, meeting resistance from the people, fired rubber-coated
bullets at them, injuring four Palestinian children.

At
10:05pm, an Israeli Army patrol raided the city and set up a
checkpoint near the police station.

Settler Attacks Increase 52 per cent

Latest figures released by the Israeli Army reveal that there has been a notable increase in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, especially in the cities and villages located near Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

The Israeli newspaperMaarivreported that settler attacks on Palestinians had increased by 52 per cent and that this year, from January to April, more than 265 cases had been opened against settlers for exercising violence against Palestinians. This compares with 174 cases between January and April 2004. The most recent of these assaults came from the illegal Israeli settlement Qidomim, built on the land of Kufor Qaddoum, east of Qalqilya, where settlers poisoned the town’s wells, rendering the water undrinkable and useless for livestock and crops.
