Israeli Troops Kill a Resident in Jenin, Demolishes Houses in Gaza
JENIN, Palestine, September28, 2004 (IPC+ Agencies)-- The Israeli occupying forces (IOF) killed on Tuesday a Palestinian resident in the West Bank City of Jenin and demolished a number of houses in southern Gaza City.
Mahmoud Naser Bazour, 19years-old, was shot dead, Khalil Sleet,14, and Shoja' Abed,15 , were injured by Israeli soldiers after coming under the soldiers fire shot from houses' rooftops, medical sources at the Khalil Sulaiman hospital said.
The abovementioned victim is the second on Tuesday as the Israeli forces have been deployed across the Jenin city, taking over houses' rooftops and shooting indiscriminately on passersby.
In the West Bank village of Beit Reema, an outskirt of Ramallah City, the Israeli troops arrested today three Palestinian residents, after launching an arrest campaign in the village.
In the meantime, more Israeli forces were reportedly beefed up on the entrances of the West Bank City of Qalqilia, as a search campaign was conducted in different areas of the city after stopping passersby and vehicles.
In the Ein Ereek village, west of Ramallah, the Israeli troops opened heavy fire heavily on a local house as a resident was arrested from the house, witnesses said.
Witnesses added that the firing on the house caused grave damages and a state of panic among neighboring residents.
In the meantime, the Israeli armored vehicles stormed the Almadbasa neighborhood of Bethlehem City and shot and wounded several civilians including children and detained a number of others, local sources said.
As well, Israeli soldiers and armed settlers took over a Palestinian house in the Hewara neighborhood in Nablus City today afternoon, witnesses accounted on.
Concurrently, the Israeli troops broke into the Palestinian Civil Defense premises in the Bureen village, south of Nablus, and held seven people inside then beaten them up severely, local sources reported.
Gaza Strip
In southern Gaza City, the Israeli bulldozers demolished five Palestinian-owned houses, displacing several citizens, Palestinian security sources reported.
The sources said that such a demolition coincided with razing by bulldozers of vast areas arable Palestinian-owned lands in the area.
Noteworthy, the Israeli occupying forces continue to close the coastal Gaza road, connecting northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip for the second day in row, forcing thousands of Palestinian men, women and children to use a bypass route just near the beach, under the sun heat and amid shooting frequently on passersby by the Israeli tanks.
