Protest Defamatory Article Against Rachel Corrie

Action Alert – Protest Defamatory Article Against Rachel Corrie

Write to Israeli Insider and Israel National News

Some of you may have already read the defamatory article written by Bruce Ticker and published on May 30, 2004 on the website of Israel Insider and Israel National News about Rachel Corrie and the International Solidarity Movement. This article is ridden with inaccuracies and false assumptions, and misrepresents the ISM's nonviolent action against the occupation in Palestine.

Despite the ISM sent a letter to Israel National News asking for the right to respond to this article that libels both Rachel Corrie and the whole movement, the editor did not get back to us so far.

Please take a few minutes to write to both of these magazines and to the author, expressing your disappointment with such poor standards of journalism. Ask that they give the ISM the opportunity to respond to this article. If you have not yet read the article, you can do so at:

Or

http://web.israelinsider.com/bin/en.jsp?enPage==HomePage (the article is under the section "More Views" in the home page) For talking points and to read a detailed response by Mark of ISM London who volunteered in Rafah last year, please go to:

Please be sure to include your name, address, and telephone number in your letters. Please send them as soon as possible:

- to the author: brucetic@aol.com

- to the editor of Israel Insider: editor@israelinsider.com

- to the editor of Israel National News: feedback@israelnationalnews.com
