16 Killed on Monday by the IOF, 45 Wounded in oPt
GAZA - - The death toll of the Palestinians killed yesterday by IOF gunfire reached 16 Palestinians and 45 wounded in several parts of the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt).
In Nablus City of the West Bank, the journalist Mohammed Abu Haliema, 22, died of critical wounds in his body, in Balata refugee camp of Nablus, Palestinian security forces said.
Abu Haleima was working as a reporter for “Al Najah Voice” in the eastern part of Nablus.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupying forces (IOF) have arrested seven Palestinian civilians during an IOF incursion into several parts of Nablus City and Balata refugee camp.
Witnesses mentioned that the Israeli occupying forces sealed off Hewara checkpoint, south of Nablus City and reinforced its presence at several mobile checkpoints in throughout the West Bank
In Hebron, Palestinian medical sources announced the killing of the citizen Tareq Al Alama, 31, from Beit Omar, north of Hebron.
IPC correspondent reported that Al Alama was directly shot in head while ten others were wounded, one critically, during the confrontation with the Israeli occupying forces in the aftermath of the announcement of assassination of Sheikh Yassin.
As well, at least 15 Palestinians were wounded during the confrontations in Hebron's Halhoul Town.
The emergency ward of Alyia hospital in Hebron said that five citizens have been evacuated to the hospital, among is the journalist Ma’moun Wazouz, working as a cameraman for Reuters news agency, who was wounded during the confrontations that erupted at the main axis of the bypass settlement road “60”.
Elsewhere in Khan Younis, five Palestinians were killed, among them 13-year old boy Mus’ab Al Ghalban, Mohmmed Al Doush, 22, Osama Al Afandi, 25, Ahmed Ghabyen, 27 and Reyad Zurob.
Witnesses said that the Israeli occupying forces stationed at the military post in the perimeter of the illegitimate Israeli settlement “Kesofim” started shooting towards the civilians’ houses, resulting in the killing of three Palestinians.
In Bethlehem, 14 citizens were wounded including the citizen Mu’in Al Atrash, whose injuries were described as serious, when IOF soldiers hailed the Palestinian demonstrators with gunfire in the surrounding of Belal Bin Rabah mosque, Palestinian medical sources said.
14-year old Doud Noafal was critically wounded by the shooting triggered by the Israeli soldiers, placed close to the “Apartheid Wall” built by Israel on the Palestinian owned land of Qulqelia City, Palestinian medical sources indicated.
In Jenin City of
the West Bank, witnesses told IPC correspondent that the boy
Mohammed Kabha, 13, was shot with a live bullet in side by
the Israeli soldiers while the citizen Sabah Kabha, 45,
fainted as he was traumatized by the hail of fire shot by
the Israeli occupying soldiers.
Such casualties took
place in Toura Al Gharbia during a peaceful rally protesting
the construction of the Apartheid Wall in the village.
In Rafah City, south of Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said that two Palestinian at least were wounded differently during the Israeli incursion at the borderline between Gaza Strip and Egypt.
The same sources said that IOF soldiers
opened a burst of indiscriminate fire at the civilians’
houses in block “G” opposite to the Rafah refugee camp of
Yebna, resulting in the wounding of Atef Awaja ,18, with a
live bullet in the head.
