We've all read the horror stories of what has happened in some of Australia's immigration detention centres, women and
children being beaten and gassed during riots, now try and make sense of this;
The parent company that Australia pays to detain asylum seekers and refugess, the parent company of ACM has undergone a
metamorphosis - launching on the NYSE as a public company with a new CEO and Executive team. Not a Wackenhut to be
found.
GEO Group Inc. What does the acronym stand for ? Would you believe it - "Global Expertise in Outsourcing" !!!!!
And ACM has been re-branded to GEO Australia Pty Ltd.

What a densely humane image it portrays. Friendly, responsible - full of concern for human rights and the welfare of
those in GEO's tender care ! See particularly the "What We Do " link, including health/mental health services in
Australian places of detention and a whole lot more. The link 'Programs' under this section also talks of GEO's strong
support of the KAIROS Christian Ministry, because " When an offender changes his values system, he changes his
behaviour. Religious programming is an important element in offender rehabilitation."
