GAZA, Palestine -- The Israeli occupying forces (IOF) killed Wednesday morning eight Palestinian civilians and wounded dozens others, during an invasion of the Alzaytoun area, south of Gaza City.

Baker Abu Safiya, Director of the Emergency Department at the Alshifa local hospital, was quoted by the Sawt Alhuriya local radio as saying that eight Palestinian civilians have been shot dead with live bullets in almost the same part of their bodies, meaning they were shot by an Israeli sniper intentionally.

IPC correspondent reported, quoting Palestinian security sources , that the Israeli occupying forces, including dozens of tanks and armored vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, invaded the Alzaytoun area, south of Gaza city under a barrage of heavy gunfire that claimed the lives of eight Palestinian civilians and wounded dozens others

The sources added that the occupying forces, estimated at several Israeli tanks and armored vehicles, opened heavy and indiscriminate gunfire at Palestinian homes in the area, killing eight Palestinian citizens and wounding dozens others. The Israeli force has taken up positions near the ‘Cars Market’, where they continue to hail the area with bullets.

Eyad Alra’y 33, Musa Daloul 30, Marwan Basal 38 and Ahmad Abu Rkab 20, have been among those killed by the Israeli occupying forces, the sources confirmed

Eyewitnesses told IPC correspondent that the Israeli troops denied ambulances and medical crews access to the area, where dozens of Palestinian children, women and elderly might have been hit by the Israeli heavy fire while inside their houses.
