Hezbollah Secretary General Warns All Means Will Be Used to Liberate the Detainees
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon's statement on the
prisoners swap deal means that an answer will be received on the issue.

During an Iftar dinner, Sayyed Nasrallah said whether the response was positive or negative, the impact will not be on
the core of the issue but on its timing. Sayyed Nasrallah stressed we will not spare any means to liberate the
prisoners.
Nasrallah said, "I announce that Sharon will ask his cabinet during Sunday’s meeting to decide on the prisoner exchange
deal. This means that on Sunday, all of us will hear the final and conclusive Israeli answers to the issue.
“Whatever the answers are, whether it will help find an agreeable and happy end to this issue, God willing or took
another track, it will not touch on the core of the issue but on its timing.
“In all cases, we will not spare any means to liberate the detainees. Whatever the enemy’s answers were. I told you from
the very beginning, we have no problem. The problem is in the enemy’s cabinet, street, institutions and political and
electoral bidding.”
Sayyed Nasrallah also tackled the new act proposed by US congressmen aiming at settling the Palestinian refugees in the
countries they are currently in. He stressed the need to confront this act and to put an end to the difficult living
conditions of the Palestinians in Lebanon.
He said, "Again the US interferes. In fact, we can discover a wider basis for Syria Accountability Act when the very
persons propose a new act on settling the Palestinian refugees in their places of residence.
“The aim behind this project is settling or ending this serious problem the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations are facing
and Israel is facing. They propose an act that grants the Palestinians the nationality of the country they live in. That
means the Palestinians in Lebanon be granted the Lebanese nationality. Those in Syria be granted the Syrian nationality.
“Those in Germany be granted the German nationality. This act does not aim only at uprooting the Palestinians from their
homes, fields and lands but also from their history, belonging and values.
“That’s why this act must be confronted. We, the Lebanese, refuse to grant the Palestinians in Lebanon the Lebanese
nationality. We refuse to settle the Palestinians in Lebanon. The Lebanese agree on that. They differ on the reasons
behind Are they national, religious, sectarian, regional or electoral reasons.
“Whatever the reasons are, we concur on a clear and definite result. We refuse settling the Palestinians in Lebanon.
There is a higher level to which we must ascend. We must refuse settling the Palestinians in Lebanon and in other
countries as well
“We must confront this law. We must not allow any Lebanese official, whether official or public, political or religious
say that we refuse settling the Palestinians in Lebanon but we accept they being settled anywhere else This is wrong.
“However, I want to stress that, while stressing on our refusal for settlement, the daily humanitarian miseries of the
Palestinians in Lebanon must not continue. Some believe that such restrictions on the Palestinians in Lebanon in civil
domains is a means to confront settlement.
“I say you must reconsider this wrong policy I believe that this determination to impose restrictions on Palestinians in
Lebanon in the civil domains serves the settlement project. I almost reached a conclusion that says that this illogical
determination to maintain the inhuman siege of Palestinians in Lebanon is suspicious."
