Secretary-General condemns fatal attack on US diplomats in Gaza
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan strongly condemned the attack on a United States diplomatic convoy in Gaza today, killing three Americans, and he urged the Palestinian Authority to bring the guilty to justice speedily.
"He views with alarm this apparently deliberate attack on diplomats," a spokesman for Mr. Annan said in a statement. "The Secretary-General sends his condolences to the families of the three murdered Americans and to all those who were injured."
The Secretary-General also
"calls on the Palestinian Authority to act with speed and
determination to bring to justice those responsible for the
attack," spokesman Fred Eckhard said.
