IOF Kills Five Palestinians In Gaza and Hebron
AL BURIJ, Palestine, September 25, 2003,(IPC + Agencies) - - Five Palestinians were killed, including a little girl and scores were wounded dawn today in two separate incidents in Gaza Strip and Hebron.
In Al Burij refugee camp, middle of Gaza Strip, an undercover Israeli unit infiltrated the refugee camp and besieged the house of Fares Shaheen, 27, while Israeli helicopters were hovering in the sky of the area providing a cover.
Mohammed Akel, 25, and Noor Abu Ermana, 23, were killed as well as eight Palestinian civilians at least were wounded when the Israeli invading forces hailed the Palestinians who tried to defend their camp with a volley of machinegun fire and tank shells at the western entrance of the camp, Palestinian source said
Furthermore, the Israeli copters fired several missiles at the targeted house, causing gross damages. Several explosions echoed through the area, locals said.
An Israeli sodliers was killed and six others were wounded during the Israeli incurison, Haaretz daily reported.
Medical sources at Al Shifa hospital declared that three-year old Dina Essa died of shock, as the Israeli forces opened indiscriminate fire and tank shells at the neighboring Shaheen’s house, causing her a frenzy of hallucination and convulsions that eventually led to her death.
In another incident, two Palestinians were shot dead dawn today by the Israeli occupation forces in Hebron City of the West Bank, IPC Correspondent said.
Deyab Al Shweiki, 30, and Abed Al Raheem Al Talahma, 27, were killed while the third, Ammar Al Shweki, Dyab’s brother, was seriously wounded when a contingent of Israeli troops besieged the house in which the three were staying at, Palestinian medical sources said.
Eyewitnesses told IPC correspondent that the invading troops moved deep into Al Eisi area, west of Hebron, supported with military vehicles under a barrage of random fire.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupying forces demolished dawn today the house of Emad Mossa from Sylat Al Daher, Jenin City, IPC correspondent reported.
A contingent of Israeli troops cordoned off Emad’s house and forced its dwellers out in the open air at gunpoint. After a while, the house was dynamited with all its furniture inside, locals told IPC Correspondent.
For the fifth consecutive day, the residents of Jenin City and its camp have been confined to their houses under strict curfew, imposed by the occupation forces, WAFA said.
The Israeli soldiers stormed in several Palestinian houses in the eastern neighborhood and took up watching spots in some of the Palestinian houses overlooking Jenin refugee camp, and arrested scores, locals said.
