IOF Shoots a Teacher and a Student in Rafah, Demolishes
Five Apartments in Jerusalem
RAFAH, Palestine, September 23, 2003, (IPC+Agencies)- - A Palestinian school boy and one teacher were wounded Tuesday morning when Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire at a school in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.
Student Mohammed Al-Boji, 13-year-old, was wounded in the right arm while teacher Ismaeel Mansour, 26, was shot and wounded in the left leg, both of them were wounded with live ammunition, Palestinian medical sources said.
Israeli soldiers stationed at the a watchtower in the neighborhood of Tal Zorob opened fire at the “Alamiria Prep. School” in Rafah, Palestine News Agency (WAFA) reported.
In the occupied East Jerusalem Israeli bulldozers destroyed five apartments owned by Palestinian families, IPC correspondent said.
Tens of Israeli police vehicles surrounded the neighborhood of Al-Shayyah, in Jerusalem, and demolished a three-story building hosting five apartments. The building owned by Palestinian citizen Mohammed Al-Sayyad, IPC’s said.
According to WAFA IOF demolished 104 houses, owned by Palestinians, in the occupied Jerusalem.
The former member of Jerusalem Municipality board told WAFA that he feels shame because of the Israeli “racist” policy carried out against the Palestinian people.
At least 4046 houses were completely destroyed while 50709 partially damaged by IOF during the last three years of Al-Aqsa Intifada, erupted on the 28th of September 23, 2000 against 36 years of Israeli military occupation, according to the Palestine National Data Bank (PNIC).
