Iraq: Amnesty International strongly condemns attack on UN headquarters
Mexico- Responding to reports of a car bomb at UN headquarters in Baghdad, Irene Khan, Secretary General of Amnesty International expressed outrage at the attack.
"This attack is utterly reprehensible. The direct targeting of the United Nations civilian headquarters can only be a major setback to the United Nations crucial human rights and humanitarian efforts for the people of Iraq," Ms Khan said.
" The thoughts of everyone at Amnesty International are with the United Nations' staff, their families and all those affected.
