Bush to Visit Egypt, Jordan, Qatar June 2-5
(Will meet in Jordan with Sharon, Abbas, "conditions permitting")
The White House announced May 28 that President Bush will visit Egypt, Jordan and Qatar June 2-5 following his
participation in the G-8 Summit, which opens June 1 in Evian-les-Bains, France.
The president will be in Aqaba, Jordan, on June 4, the White House said, for a meeting with King Abdallah and for
meetings, "conditions permitting," with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud
Abbas.

President Bush to Travel to Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar
President Bush will visit Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar from June 2 through June 5. The President will add visits in these
countries to previously announced stops in Poland, Russia, and France. From the G-8 meeting in Evian-les-Bains, France,
the President will travel to Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, for June 3 meetings with Arab leaders. From Egypt, he will travel
to Aqaba, Jordan, on June 4 for a meeting with King Abdallah of Jordan and for meetings, conditions permitting, with
Israeli Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Prime Minister Abbas. On June 5, the President will go to CENTCOM to visit
with members of the Coalition armed forces in Doha, Qatar.
