Israel bombings beyond contempt - Jack Straw
'Israel bombings beyond contempt'
The Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, said on 2 December that he was 'shocked to learn of the terrorist attacks in Israel'. He added that the 'outrages and the suffering that accompanies them must stop'.
The Foreign Secretary welcomed the pledge by Palestinian leaders to track down those responsible for the attacks and concluded that the leaders 'must do everything in their power to prevent further attacks of extremist violence'.
The Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, said:
"I was deeply shocked to learn of the terrorist attacks in Israel. The targeting of innocent civilians is beyond contempt and I condemn the attacks absolutely. Such acts are abhorrent and entirely without justification. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the dead and with the many injured in these atrocities."
"These outrages,
and the suffering that accompanies them must stop. I welcome
the pledge by Palestinian leaders to track down those
responsible for last night's attacks. They must bring the
guilty to justice and do everything in their power to
prevent further acts of extremist violence."
