Sukhi Turner, the Mayor of Dunedin,
has recently been to Kobe, Japan and while there caught up
with several peace groups. Below is a message of solidarity
that she has sent to Hyogo Gensuikyo and the mass rally that
is being organised for 21 November 2000. The Mayor has
asked that I send this message to other peace groups in New
Zealand for their information and asking them to also
support Hyogo Gensuikyo. Any assistance you could provide
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Rebecca Parata,

all the trade unions taking part in upholding the Kobe

thanks for your hospitality and friendship during our
meeting in Kobe recently. I enjoyed meeting all of you and
I will be in touch again to progress other matters that we
