On Wednesday 3 February, 2010, POLOFF delivered reftel demarche to
Ms. Khadidia Traore Cisse, technical advisor for Civil Aviation in
the Malian Ministry of Equipment and Transport, and left as an

the U.S. Embassy for its interest, and mentioned Mali is currently
working on a similar agreement with the European Union and the West
African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) to open additional
international air routes to foreign airlines. According to Ms.
Cisse, the Civil Aviation Authority is also negotiating agreements
with airlines from Egypt and Turkey that will allow their carriers
