1. (SBU) Econoff provided reftel information to MFA Desk
Officer for Nuclear Energy and Non-proliferation Dr. Bernd
Rinnert. Rinnert thanked Econoff for the points and stated
that the German Sherpa for the Nuclear Security Summit will
be Ambassador Viktor Elbling, Commissioner for Nuclear Energy
Policy. The working level contacts in the German MFA will be
Rinnert and Dr. Joerg Polster, also a desk officer for
nuclear energy.
