1. Subsequent to our demarche and transmittal of the letter
of invitation from the Secretary, the office of the Foreign
Minister has informed us that, due to the departure of the
Minister and most of his delegation from New York the same
day, the GOB will be represented at the event by its highest
ranking official remaining in New York, MFA Director General
for Europe, the Americas, and International Organizations
Ambassador Egide Ndikuriyo. He will be joined by Burundi's
Ambassador to the UN, Zacherie Gahutu.
