SUBJECT: Nigerien Gov't Delegation Departs for China
1. On September 15, Prime Minister Seini Oumarou led a delegation
bound for Beijing. The delegation included:
-- Minister of Agricultural Development Mahamane Moussa;
-- Minister of Mines and Energy Mohamed Abdoulahi;
-- Minister of National Education Ousmane Samba Mamadou;
-- Minister of Professional and Technical Education Maizama Hadiza;
-- PM Cabinet Director Seybou Almoustapha;
-- Nigerien Ambassador to China Boubakar Adamou;
-- High Commissioner for Management of the Niger Valley Almoustapha
Garba; and
-- Principal Advisor to the PM on Mines and Energy Abdoulkarim
Saidou.
2. Although details are lacking at present regarding the nature of
this delegation's trip, it is further evidence of expanding Nigerien
- Chinese governmental and economic ties.
