SUBJECT: SIERRA LEONE CONFIRMS AGOA FORUM DELEGATION

REF: FREETOWN 329

1. (U) Post confirmed on July 10 that the Government of
Sierra Leone (GoSL) representatives at the AGOA Forum July
14-16 will be the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs (Mr.
Vandi Minah), Trade and Industry (Mr. Mabinty Daramy), and
Finance (Dr. Richard Konteh), as well as the Sierra Leone
Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Bockarie Stevens.
Deputy Minister Minah will serve as the Head of Delegation.
Post will follow procedures to register the delegation
on-line, as requested by Department.

2. (U) The GoSL delegation is requesting bilateral meetings
with relevant USG representatives. The delegation would also
appreciate meetings with potential investors and
organizations, such as the Corporate Council on Africa. Post
requests assistance from Desk and AF/EPS in identifying
possible meeting opportunities, and working with the Sierra
Leone Embassy in Washington on scheduling.
