(SBU) Poloffs delivered reftel demarche on September 10 to
the Foreign Secretariat's (SRE's) Deputy Director General for
UN-Related Security and Legal Issues Julian Juarez Cardenas.
Juarez confirmed that Ambassador Pablo Macedo Riba, SRE's new
Director General for UN-Related Security and Legal Issues,
would travel to Vienna and is willing to meet with
Representative Ford. He requested that the U.S. Delegation
in Vienna be in touch with the Mexican Delegation to make
arrangements. Macedo will not travel to New York for the
UNGA First Committee meeting.
