1. (SBU) Econoff delivered July 3 reftel non-paper
requesting additional background information on individuals
and entities listed in UNSCRs 1737 and 1747 to the MFA's
Office for International Cooperation on Counterterrorism and
the Ministry of Finance's Office for the Prevention of
Financial Crimes.

2. (SBU) Italian officials noted they would pass the
information to the GOI's interagency body which oversees
sanctions enforcement, the Financial Security Committee.
Post will report by septel any substantive information
received or GOI actions taken.
