(SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MFA) Assistant Director of UN and Multilateral
Affairs Sumedha Ekanayake. On September 8 Ekanayake informed
poloff that the MFA had forwarded a copy of the US points to
its delegation attending the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM)
conference in Havana. Ekanayake said his government broadly
agreed with the US points and the Sri Lankan delegation to
the NAM conference would take US views under advisement.
