(SBU) Embassy Tokyo Political Officer and Advisor to the
Financial Attache conveyed points in reftel A to Ministry of
Foreign Affairs International Counterterrorism Cooperation
Division Deputy Director Miyako Ishimura and Ministry of
Finance Legal Office Deputy Division Chief Shunichi Fukushima
on August 16, 2006. Both thanked us for the information.
Ishimura promised to update Japan's domestic lists as soon as
possible, in accordance with the recent UN 1267 Committee
actions. She added that Japan completed its internal process
and domestically listed Abd Al-Hamid Sulaiman Al-Mujil, the
Philippines branch of the International Islamic Relief
Organization and Abousofian Abdelrazik (reftels B and C), on
August 15, 2006.
