1. (U) The Israel Lands Authority and the Ministry of
Construction and Housing on Thursday, August 17, issued a
tender in Globes for construction on ten plots in Har Homa
settlement south of Jerusalem. According to the tender, two
plots are for a commercial area to include parking with a
49-year lease, and an option to extend for an additional 49
years. The remaining eight plots are for 432 housing units,
probably apartment buildings. The plots range in size from
2,228 square meters to 6,395 square meters, and will have
30-88 living units each. The minimum price is between NIS
1,020,000 and NIS 2,074,800, approximately $233,000-474,000.
The expenditure for development ranges between NIS 3,887,546
and NIS 10,197,747, or $888,000-2,328,000, depending on the
size of the plots. Both plots of land can be leased for 98
years, with an option to extend for an additional 98 years.
The deadline for bids is October 29, 2006.
2. (U) The Israel Lands Authority on June 20, issued a
tender in Yediot Aharanot for construction of 12
single-family homes in the Mitzpe Navo religious neighborhood
of Ma'ale Adumim settlement east of Jerusalem. The original
tender stated that bids were due on July 30, 2006, but the
tender was later re-issued on July 25 with bids due on August
27, 2006. The plots range in size from 375 square meters to
553 square meters. The minimum price is between NIS 55,000
and NIS 70,000, approximately $12,500-16,000. The
expenditure for development ranges between NIS 247,982 and
NIS 365,690, or $56,000-83,111. The land can be leased for
98 years, with an option to extend for an additional 98 year.
3. (U) The tender for construction of 53 houses in Elkana
settlement (reftel) has been delayed until September 10,
2006.
