1. On August 12, PolOff delivered reftel demarche, talking
points, resolution text and the Secretary's statement to MFA
North American and South Pacific Affairs Division Director
Amornsate Singha. Amornsate promised to relay the demarche
points to his Director General and Permanent Secretary. He
had no official reaction to the demarche but promised to
relay any response Thailand has to the Embassy and through
the Thai Missions in Washington and New York.
2. Post notes that Monday, August 14 is a national holiday
in Thailand. The MFA will be open for normal business again
on Tuesday, August 15.
