2. (SBU) Turkish Ambassador Cengizer revealed on October 18
that he has completed negotiations for Tajikistan's President
Rahmonov to make an official visit to Turkey January 19-24,
2006. Rahmonov will visit Ankara, Istanbul, and the Anatolian
coast where he wants to develop contacts to increase tourism in
Tajikistan.

3. (SBU) Cengizer remains optimistic that Turkish Airlines will
begin operating to Dushanbe in time for Rahmonov to be on the
maiden return trip to Turkey.
