(SBU) On July 15, PolOff reftel talking points and draft
resolutions to Advisor to the Foreign Minister Ambassador
Flavio Mendez and MFA International Organizations (IO)
Director Javier Bonagas. Mendez told PolOff that the GOP "in
principle" supported the creation of a Peacebuilding
Commission (PBC) answerable to the Security Council, and
supported the participation of ECOSOC in the PBC. Embassy
will report any updates to the Department.
