Foreign Affairs Canada presents its compliments to the
Embassy of the United States of America and has the honour to
inform the Embassy that the Government of Canada has the
honour to present the candidature of Mr. George M. Thompson,
Executive Director of the National Judicial Institute, for
the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the
Justice Studies Center of the Americas, for the period
2006-2009. Elections for this position will be held at the
Organization of American States General Assembly, June 5-7,
2005 in Fort Lauderdale, United States of America.
The Government of Canada believes that Mr. Thompson, having
served as Member of the Board of Directors of the Justice
Studies Center of the Americas throughout 2002-2005, and
elected its chair in January 2005, is qualified to serve as a
Member of the Board of Directors. Please find attached his
